I (Ed) haven’t forgotten this film. It’s percolating like a good cup of coffee. We had so much input into the script, spent so much money on it’s development and came so far writing it, that we decided to treat it with kit gloves. We got some great input from Australian development agencies and even better, more intense feedback through the BlueCat Screenplay Competition that we simply had to stop and reconsider our options.
As you know - we have just completed filming 20 minutes of a no budget feature and the experience we’re getting shooting that is profound. I’m so happy and so lucky to be able to make a film that nobody knows about (because there’s no money involved - I mean Women of Various Ages), one with such a strong story and such deep, believable characters - before I go spending other people’s money.
I really am having a ball. Adding a twitter box (top right) so you can see what a real director gets up to during his days. You’ll find that we’re quite a lot like normal people. I might add Phil’s Twitter box too - if he’s up for it.
